A month-by-month calendar of hands-on science activities conducted by Pragati Vigyan Sanstha, India. Each activity runs for about 90–120 minutes and live experiments may shift the monthly program.

Measuring the circumference of the Earth
  • April — Introduction to science activity (with exhibition); "Science and You" film & slide show; science in daily life with low-cost teaching activities.
  • May — How to make a project (film, slides & demonstration) and project topics assigned; activities related to nature study.
  • July — Rocket making by students and rocket launching; measuring rainwater and recording data.
  • August — Science model competition; sky watching (sun spots).
  • September — Measuring the circumference of the Earth with other countries and finding the north direction using shadows; video-conferencing.
  • October — Finding light pollution with star counting; making a sun projector and finding the angular diameter of the Sun.
  • November — Making a globe with a bottle cap; describing our solar system with a solar walk.
  • December — Sky photography; temperature measurement data charts; measuring the Earth with other countries.
  • January — Visit / tour for sky watching (two days).
  • February — Drinking water and us; how to test water.
  • March — Food and us; testing of food adulteration; Earth experiment and video-conferencing.
